Welcome to Selah Homestead

Selah Homestead is nestled between Warkworth township and Kawau Bay, around 40 minutes from Auckland’s Harbour Bridge. If you like year-round mild climate and sunshine this could well be your location for some quiet rest and relaxation. We’re blessed with many beautiful beaches within Kawau Bay and scenic undulating landscape so you can enjoy expansive panoramic views from living rooms and west facing decks. Indeed a rural escape! Why you’ll love the small clustered townships of Puhoi, Warkworth, Sandspit, Snells Beach, Matakana, Leigh and the internationally renowned marine reserve at Goat Island. Tawharanui Regional Park, one of north Auckland's best-kept secrets is minutes away as is the acclaimed Matakana Farmers Market.

There’s a great café on the Sandspit Wharf. Ferry boats and water taxis take passengers to and from Kawau Island. Mansion House was home to Sir George Grey (twice Governor of New Zealand). Roam gardens with exotic species and keep an eye out for wallabies, peacocks, weka and kookaburras. Music, food and wine festivals are held annually. A boat marina has just been completed at Sandspit and many enjoy boating and fishing off the Mahurangi coast.

Explore the Matakana Wine Trail and boutique cafes and restaurants.
